What is Duolite®?
A Hunter Douglas exclusive, Duolite® is an operating system that combines the immense benefits of sheers with the comfort and privacy of blackout curtains. This system pairs together two fabrics of differing opacities, so you won't have to worry about installing drapes over your window sheers or doubling up on your window coverings.
Duolite® blends both fabrics into one window treatment, saving you time, money, and space. Plus, Duolite® technology is available for Roman, Silhouette®, cellular, and roller shades, allowing you to customize the perfect window covering for your needs and home.
How it Works
Although they are installed in the same window treatment, the sheer fabric and the blackout curtain operate independently. Suspended on two separate rods, you can open or close each section of the shade as you desire.
The frontmost section will be your main style: either Roman, roller, cellular, or Silhouette® shades. The back section will hold your blackout curtain. This design means you can get the gorgeous look of Roman shades, for example, while still enjoying the full room-darkening benefits of blackout curtains.
