EcoMortar Base NHL 3.5 Lime Mortar | Meoded | JC Licht

EcoMortar® Base (NHL 3.5)

Meoded EcoMortar Base is a dry, ready-to-use lime mortar built on Saint-Astier Natural Hydraulic Lime NHL 3.5 for the scratch and brown coats of a lime render or stucco system. Cement-free and breathable, it levels and builds up wall surfaces to prepare a sound, flexible foundation for your finish coat. As the base layer in traditional and modern lime systems, it ensures long-term compatibility and performance.

  • Structural base coat: designed as the scratch and brown coat in lime plaster and stucco systems
  • Saint-Astier NHL 3.5 binder: balanced strength, flexibility, and vapor permeability
  • No cement or additives: a natural, eco-friendly, zero-VOC formulation
  • Highly compatible: bonds well across a wide range of masonry substrates
  • Restoration and new build: ideal for historic conservation and sustainable construction
  • Breathable system: promotes healthy moisture exchange within the wall
  • Just add water: a convenient dry mix for consistent, workable application
  • Zero-VOC: a healthy, breathable choice for occupied spaces
  • Sustainable system: part of Meoded's eco-friendly lime stucco range

EcoMortar Base creates the durable, breathable groundwork that lets your lime finish perform for decades. Apply it to level the surface, then follow with an EcoMortar finish coat for a complete, authentic, sustainable lime stucco system indoors or out. Build your lime system on EcoMortar Base for authentic, lasting performance.

ABOUT MEODED

Old World Beauty, Modern Durability.

Founded in 2002 by Shlomi Meoded, Meoded Paint & Plaster is a legacy brand built on generations of expertise in fine decorative finishes — premium lime-based Venetian and concrete plasters, microcement, lime wash, metallic paints, and specialty coatings, all formulated in-house and manufactured in Los Angeles.

Every product fuses centuries-old European techniques with modern performance. Meoded finishes can be found in luxury homes, hotels, restaurants, and film sets across the country, and have been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue Living, and Better Homes & Gardens — trusted by designers including Kelly Wearstler and Marmol Radziner.

Now, that same craftsmanship is available right here in the Midwest — backed by JC Licht's century of paint expertise. Whether you're a homeowner planning a single accent wall, a designer specifying a full project, or a pro expanding your finish portfolio, our team is ready to walk you through products, samples, and application.
