What makes me make the trip to JC Licht in Morton grove is the fact that i feel i get the personal attention and the knowledge of products, especially with window treatments. Questions asked by Margie relating to the purchase I am looking to make is what makes all difference vs going to a large home improvement store or any other paint store.

Recently, over the last few days, I had the pleasure of working with John and Jane. I was at the store multiple times on multiple days. I was trying to arrive at the perfect Arborcoat stain for our deck, thus buying several pints. AT ALL TIMES John and Jane greeted me with huge smiles and asked how they could help me. They engaged me in depth. John keenly listened and came up with a solution that led to the perfect color for our deck! I bought 6 gallons and wanted to write to you about my experience.
It didn’t matter if the store was busy, the hour was late or that I’d been there 1, 2 or 5 times—John and Jane treated me like gold. They are extremely hard working, nice people and I wanted you to know what GREAT representatives they are for JC Licht. I hope you will recognize them (and quite frankly the Wheaton store) for their outstanding customer service. It was once again, a pleasure doing business at ‘my’ JC Licht store!

We have been customers at the JC Licht store in Morton Grove for years.We love the personal service you get there, unlike anything you receive in the big box home improvement stores. The personal attention to details has been so important to us over the last 15 years as we have improved our home. From paints, to stains, on woodwork, walls, and outside materials. We know we can always trust the advice of someone at the store. They have never steered us wrong. Especially love the selection of the higher quality products.
But, most of all we have never regretted the decision to spend over $2000.00 on the Hunter Douglas window treatments that we purchased thru Margie at the Morton Grove store. She went thru everything with us between all the materials available, type of blinds and hardware. We cannot be happier with our selection. Even when we had a few little issues w/ the hardware after installation she had them returned to HD and back to us quickly.
Also when our dog decided he wanted to see out the window and tried to pull the shade and broke it, Margie was able to have a repair man from a private company come to our house to fix the blind.
I have always recommended her to family and friends when they need any interior design done with wall paper, paint color choices and window treatments. Definitely we are very happy and satisfied customers.

I have been doing business at JC Licht for several years. Paint, window treatments, wallpaper. It’s very easy to go to JC Licht and tell the Margie what I want to do, what colors I need or need to match. She gives me the personal touch and if she has an opinion on my choices she will share it. And she’s usually correct. Great decorator taste. I can’t get that at Menards or Home Depot. I’d talk to a different person each time at those stores. And they just want to make the sale not assist me.
My son just moved back to Illinois and bought a house in Morton Grove. After the remodeling is complete he and his wife were planning on going to JC Licht and Margie for window coverings and any wallpaper and paint of course. You should have more people in your store like that to help all the contractors.
